The Silver Group at Eagle Tennis Summer Camp is designed specifically for children aged 8-12 who are beginning their tennis journey. Our dedicated coaching staff creates a fun, supportive environment where young players can develop fundamental skills while fostering a love for the game.
Each session focuses on building proper technique from the ground up, introducing stroke development with an emphasis on generating topspin. Players will learn through a combination of drills, games, and introductory match play situations.
By the end of the program, young players will develop proper grip techniques, basic stroke fundamentals, court awareness, and most importantly, a love for the game of tennis through our engaging, age-appropriate teaching methods.
Our Silver Group program uses the nationally recognized Great Base Tennis system to develop complete players from the ground up.
Great Base Tennis is a comprehensive teaching system based on physics, biomechanics, and the natural laws of movement. This research-based approach builds technically sound players through a systematic curriculum that progresses logically from fundamental skills to advanced techniques.
Our carefully designed daily curriculum helps young players build skills progressively through the week.
Focus on proper grip, stance, and motion for forehand strokes with emphasis on follow-through.
Introduction to proper two-handed backhand technique with fun coordination exercises.
Learn the basics of approaching the net and making clean volley contacts.
Introduction to serving mechanics and basic return positioning.
Apply the week's lessons through tennis games and supervised mini-matches.
Our Silver Group program focuses on three essential areas to build well-rounded young tennis players.
Young players learn the correct fundamentals from the start, preventing the development of bad habits that can be difficult to correct later.
We incorporate games and activities that make learning tennis enjoyable, ensuring players develop a genuine love for the sport that will last a lifetime.
Tennis is both an individual and team sport. We teach players to respect opponents, work with partners in doubles, and develop sportsmanship and confidence.
