TEMPLATE WEEK 7
Moving beyond fundamental point construction, this week introduces and refines more complex tactical patterns and strategies. Players develop match analysis skills, work on specific tactical intentions, and learn to adapt their strategy based on opponent tendencies.
By Week 7, players have developed a solid foundation in the technical aspects of level-based point construction through the court. Now the focus shifts to advanced tactical patterns, match analysis, and strategic adaptations. This week introduces players to higher-level strategic thinking and decision-making that more closely resembles competitive tournament play.
Tournament success depends not only on technical execution but on tactical awareness and adaptability. Players who can analyze and exploit patterns, recognize opportunities, and adjust to different opponents have a significant competitive advantage. This week helps players develop the strategic intelligence that separates good players from great ones.
"Tennis is not just about hitting the ball; it's about playing the game. Understanding how to construct points, adapt to opponents, and execute tactical patterns is what separates champions from the rest." — Percy Chan, Head Coach

Get answers to common questions about Week 7 of our Junior Excellence program.
Week 7 is designed for tournament-level players who already have solid technical fundamentals and are looking to develop their strategic and tactical understanding of the game. Players should be comfortable with the concepts from Weeks 1-6 before engaging with the advanced tactical material in Week 7.
While the Junior Excellence program is designed as a comprehensive 10-week curriculum with each week building on previous concepts, players can register for individual weeks based on their schedule and specific development needs. However, we recommend attending as many consecutive weeks as possible for optimal skill development.
Eagle Tennis Academy provides all necessary video equipment for on-court analysis. Players are encouraged to bring their smartphones if they wish to use personal analysis apps discussed during the week. We'll also provide recommendations for apps that players can use for continued development after the program.
Unlike general tennis camps that focus primarily on technical skills, Week 7 of our Junior Excellence program delves deeply into advanced tactical concepts, pattern recognition, match analysis, and strategic adaptation. Our approach combines on-court implementation with video analysis and mental performance training to develop complete tactical intelligence.
Yes, coaches provide individual tactical feedback throughout the week during drills and match play. Additionally, Friday's session includes personalized feedback on tactical strengths and areas for continued development. Players will also have access to their match footage for further self-analysis.
